Time’s Auntie, De Marne’s cultural heritage
Meet Edzard, son of the Lord of the Borg, and servant girl Marie. An accessible story about times gone by and today, about rich and poor for 6 and 7 year olds. Through a short film, a memory game and a tour of the Borg and the Workers Cottage children are made aware of the differences between their own world and that of a 100 years ago. Marie, maid at Verhildersum is part of Time’s Auntie, but can also be offered separately. Time’s Auntie was made possible through the kind support of Cultuureducatie Met Kwaliteit Groningen.
Cultural treasures
Is a treasure always beautiful? And does it have to be valuable to everyone? These and other questions are the subject of the Cultural Treasures schools programme for 8 and 9-year-olds. In approximately ninety minutes the children tour the Borg and do assignments on the estate.
