The Verhildersum 'Schathoes' is part of the Verhildersum Estate. From the restaurant itself or from the cozy terrace you have a view of the borg and the garden. It is a fantastic and atmospheric place where everyone feels at home. Come and experience it yourself!

Meeting, wedding location or party

Ons Schathoes is an excellent location for a wedding or another party. Or for a meeting, because the beautiful sculpture garden and the estate with the fields, mounds and historic cow breeds and horses will inspire you with new insights. A beautiful place in Groningen, on the Hogeland, which is part of the Waddenzee World Heritage Site.

There is room for groups of up to 80 people to dine here. At receptions, we can guarantee a pleasant stay for at least 100 people (Corona rules subject). We would be happy to create a tailor-made plan for you, so please contact us.

High tea

Opening hours

Outside standard opening hours, Ons Schathoes is available by appointment for groups of 30 people or more.

The restaurant is temporarily closed. Groups of 10 or more people can make a reservation during this period. We will open during regular opening hours when the museum season starts in April 2024.
