The Verhildersum Mystery:
A digital tour of the estate for children and their parents, where they encounter various characters and their stories from the past. Enquire at the Carriage House and set out with Cam and Vinnie. Roaming the grounds you’ll hear (fictitious) stories about former residents, such as Greetje van Olst van Bolhuis, Janna and her flute and even about the pigeons!

There’s plenty to do for young and old during the Historical Days at Verhildersum. Remember when the whirligig was the highlight of the annual fair? When fortunetellers, fire-eaters and jugglers camped around the village? When a haystack was a fortress? Taste, smell and experience life in the Groningen Hogeland of days gone by. Old crafts and agricultural machinery, historical costumes, treats, dance and music will take you back to the past. When crops were harvested by hand and women wore hoop skirts. Dive into the past on August 15 and 16, 2020 at Verhildersum Estate Leens.
